Salmeterol Xinafoate belongs to a category of medications known as long-acting bronchodilators. It helps to relax the muscles lining the small airways in the lungs, facilitating easier airflow in and out of these passages. The effects of Salmeterol Xinafoate typically persist for a minimum of twelve hours, and with regular use, it assists in keeping the small airways open, which is why it is referred to as a 'protector.'
